Children and teens often experience stress, anxiety, trauma, and emotional challenges differently than adults. These struggles can appear as irritability, withdrawal, behavioral difficulties, academic problems, or increased conflict at home.
Counseling provides a supportive environment where young people can better understand their emotions, develop healthy coping skills, and build confidence in navigating life's challenges.
I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents through Trauma Systems Therapy and other behavioral health settings. This work involved helping young people and their families navigate complex emotional and behavioral challenges while building resilience, stability, and healthier coping strategies.
When appropriate, I work collaboratively with caregivers to support progress outside of sessions and strengthen communication within the family system.
